With less than a month to go until Lainey Wilson drops her highly anticipated new album, Whirlwind, she’s revealed when we can hear the next single.

The next track fans will hear from the new album is Good Horses, featuring Miranda Lambert.

Sharing a teaser of the track on Instagram, fans can hear the two harmonising over a beautiful melody for a stunning country track. Wilson captioned the video, “Can’t wait to share this one with y’all”.

After teasing the song yesterday (29 July), Wilson took to social media once again 13 hours ago to respond to a fan’s question about the release date.

Wilson and Lambert announced that Good Horses will be released this Friday (2 August). They shared the news from a stable, with the pair patting a horse. You can watch the videos below.

Good Horses will be the fourth taste of Wilson’s new album, Whirlwind. We’ve already heard the singles Country’s Cool Again, the lead single Hang Tight Honey, and 4x4xU.

In a statement, Wilson said of her upcoming album, “I am so excited to finally announce Whirlwind. This album has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait for the world to have this body of work in their hands soon.

“This new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I’ve ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me.”

Whirlwind will be released via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville on Friday, 23 August. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.

Lainey Wilson’s new album follows the mammoth success of her fourth album, Bell Bottom Country.

Released in late October 2022, Bell Bottom Country saw Wilson take over country music, winning Best Country Album at the Grammys, Album of the Year at the ACM Awards, and Album of the Year at the CMA Awards.

The 16-track album saw her peak at #35 in Australia, #9 on the US Top Country Albums Chart, and #2 on the UK Country Albums Chart.

In addition to the accolades bestowed on the album, Wilson was crowned Entertainer of the Year at the recent CMA Awards and made her way to Australia for the first time (to great hype).
