Kelsea Ballerini Is Releasing a Book of Poetry

Kelsea Ballerini is set to release a collection of poetry, Feel Your Way Through, on November 16, 2021 via Ballantine, an imprint of Random House. Deeply felt and candid, Ballerini addresses themes of family, relationships, body image and confidence, self-love, sexuality, and lessons from her youth.

The 27-year-old explained, “I’ve realised that some feelings can’t be turned into a song, so I’ve started writing poems. Just like my songs, they are personal and honest. Just like my songs, they have hooks and rhymes. Just like my songs, they talk about what it’s like to be twenty-something trying to navigate a wildly beautiful and broken world.”

So far, Ballerini has shared excerpts from poems titled Nashville, Jumbled and Aesthetically Pleasing via her social media. The latter reads:

blue jeans with a label, the kind that hides my tummy
eating at nice restaurants, drink away my money
glowy summer skin, pricks of tiny needles
life of every party, terrified of people

Ballerini is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer. She made history as the only female country artist to log three consecutive number one singles from a debut album. She has garnered two Grammy Award nominations, won two ACM Awards, and picked up the iHeartRadio Music Awards honour for ‘Best New Country Artist’ in addition to other accolades. Thus far, she has achieved thirteen gold, platinum, and multi-platinum RIAA single and album certifications, six career number one singles at country radio, and global streams totaling more than three billion to date. She has been married to Morgan Evans since 2017.
