Australian country music star Keith Urban shocked travellers and workers at Nashville International Airport (BNA) with a surprise performance over the weekend.
Simple Flying reports that Urban performed as part of the airport’s BNA Live program, which offers travellers entertainment before their flights.
But, an impromptu concert from an artist of Urban’s calibre would likely distract people from their plans, with one commenter on Instagram eloquently writing, “Wonder how many people missed their flights because of this lol”.
Footage of Urban’s surprise performance was captured and posted to Instagram by Fly Nashville and Urban.
Urban played at the Nashville International Airport in support of his recently released new single, Messed Up As Me. Sharing another video from a different angle to his own Instagram account, Urban wrote in the cheeky caption:
From the baggage claim to a REAL STAGE!!!! Sooooo fun celebrating the release of Messed Up As Me with loads of you in Concourse C yesterday and a massive thank you to everyone at Fly Nashville for helping us pull off the surprise.

In Urban’s comment section on Instagram, plenty of people were in shock and admitted that they’d miss their flights to watch his entire set.
Australian pop singer Amy Shark wrote, “This is the best ever”, while fans left messages like: “I’d miss my flight to watch the whole show without ANY hesitation”, “I think I would have simply passed out if I was walking in an airport and saw this. I wish I was lucky enough to have this happen anywhere near me! 🥹 so cool!”, “I would have died! 😂 And I would have missed my flight! Lol”, “I wouldn't mind missing my flight to see the whole thing”, and “It made my layover so worth it! Love your humility!!”
Messed Up As Me is the latest single from Urban’s upcoming unnamed 12th album, with the singer exploring dysfunctional relationships. The new LP will follow 2020’s The Speed Of Now Pt 1.
