After the three-night The Voice: Generations special, Keith Urban returns to the judging seat for the main season of The Voice Australia, as seen in Channel 7’s newly released teaser trailer.

Set to Katy Perry’s classic Roar, the new James Chappell-directed promo, features Urban and fellow coaches Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy performing on a custom-build, neon-lit stage surrounded by fireworks and over 100 dancers.

In the global first, The Voice: Generations saw the nation’s greatest performers from different generations take to the stage together to showcase their amazing talent. Unlike the main series, the show featured groups of at least two members, whom have a pre-existing relationship, coming from different generations with no age limit.

Urban told Sunrise in January, “It was a blast. Part of us didn’t know what to expect and we never done it before - the first time in the world. The music obviously comes from everywhere and sometimes you get a family where mum and dad were musos or the grandparents or someone else, so the idea to bring everybody in and perform on the one stage - amazing.”

While Channel 7 is yet to announce a return date for The Voice Australia, you can catch old episodes, including The Voice: Generations and The Voice USA with Blake Shelton, for free on 7plus.
