Kane Brown Is Working Towards An Acting Career

In a conversation on Nights With Elaina, Kane Brown told host Elaina D. Smith that he is working with a Los Angeles agent to make his aspirations of becoming an actor a reality.

“We've been trying to get some movies in and see which one relates to me the most, makes it easy," Brown said.

When asked what genre he’d like to make his acting debut in, he added that he would like to play a horror movie victim, “the tough dude that was helping everybody” or possibly, the “the funny guy.”

He also shared that he recently auditioned for a part in the new Grease prequel, playing a new main character who takes “new guy” Danny Zuko under his wing before going on to pursue a singing career. The film, however, was cancelled, but he did receive a call back.

"They were surprised with the audition tapes," he revealed. "They said that I could actually do it.”

Brown will soon release his third studio album, Different Man. Due for release on September 9, the project will feature 17 songs, including his singles Like I Love Country Music, One Mississippi, Whiskey Sour, Leave You Alone and new song, Grand. Brown has also confirmed a not yet released song called Mad at This World will feature on the album as a duet with his wife Katelyn.

Different Man follows Brown’s second studio album, 2018’s Experiment. In August of 2020, Brown released his EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which included several singles such as Cool Again, Worldwide Beautiful, Worship You and Be Like That featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.

Brown recently released his own breakfast cereal called “Kane Crunch.” He will also headline CMC Rocks QLD 2022 this September alongside Brad Paisley and Morgan Evans and has a run of Australian and New Zealand shows booked where he will be joined by US country / hip hop artist Blanco Brown and fellow US vocal powerhouse trio Restless Road.
