Jimmie Allen releases theme song ‘Big In A Small Town‘

Following news that Jimmie Allen had signed on as executive music producer for a new sports documentary series, Titletown High, the multi-platinum recording artist has dropped the previously unreleased track, Big in a Small Town, which features as the show’s theme song.

The release of the song coincides with the global premiere of the new Netflix series, which is now available to viewers across 190 countries.

Allen says of the song’s and series’ compatible natures, "I grew up in a small town. Whether it’s football, a dream you have… everything you do in a small town is a big thing. Everything is the end of the world, or the start of a world. That’s what I feel like people connect to – the realness of it."

According to the press release, "The immersive and deeply personal series highlights the gruelling and heartfelt commitment of players against a backdrop of community support, and ever-rising school pride. Also showcasing never before seen footage surrounding high school football's most controversial coaches, Rush Propst. Full of high stakes sports action and relatable teenage drama, Titletown High delivers a complex portrait of the most unique football culture in America."

Directed by Jason Sciavicco, the creator of the 2006 MTV reality show Two-a-Days, the series also features players Amari Jones, Jake Garcia, Grayson Leavy and Jacarrius Peak as well as students Lenley Gross, Zoey Watson, Morgan Miller, Malia Spells, Kendall Haden and Kaili Spells.

Including the theme song, the series features music from the likes of G-Eazy and Demi Lovato, LANCO, Matt Stell, P-Lo, Goody Grace, Carly Rose, Chris Bandi, Kossisko, Carrie, and Nate Woodall.

Allen adds, “Having an executive role behind the camera has always been a dream of mine, so I’m thrilled to be the Executive Music Producer on Titletown High. I loved using music to enhance the show’s already compelling nature and can’t wait for viewers to hear incredible songs from many amazing artists. Having Big In A Small Town serve as the show’s theme song was the cherry on top!”
