'Hobbled': Morgan Wallen Opens Up About Nasty Fall

Morgan Wallen has addressed an injury that had fans concerned about him, admitting that he looked “hobbled.”

The Last Night hitmaker performed for two nights at the Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor over the weekend (24 and 25 July), and after the first concert, he revealed an injury, sharing footage that’s since gone viral.

In the video, Wallen departed the stage and jumped up to the stands to greet fans while exiting the stadium. However, his landing wasn’t smooth, leading to his falling to the ground and holding his ankle.

Security guards pulled Wallen back up and helped him make his way through the tunnel, although it was clear that he wasn’t walking properly. Upon getting through the tunnel, the singer was on the ground and holding his leg, clearly in pain.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Wallen wrote alongside a video of the incident before his second show (per Whiskey Riff), “Michigan, if I appear somewhat hobbled tonight, it’s cause I am.”

However, perhaps the injury wasn’t too bad, as he performed for another night at Michigan Stadium the following night, seemingly without issue. What a trooper.

On Friday (24 July), Wallen released a new song, Been By Now – a track he teased on social media last month.

Been By Now is his first piece of new music since last year’s 37-track, 117-minute mammoth album, I’m the Problem.

I’m the Problem is Wallen’s fourth album, released last May. It features special guest collaborators Post Malone, HARDY, Tate McRae, ERNEST, and Eric Church and was recorded and written at Wallen’s farm outside Nashville, Tennessee.

With its epic track listing, I’m the Problem is Wallen’s longest album and contains the most songs. The record spawned nine singles, including the hits Love Somebody, Superman, Lies Lies Lies, What I Want, and the title track.

The album has been certified Platinum in Australia and quadruple Platinum in the US.
