Hawk Tuah Girl Makes Shock Appearance At Zach Bryan Gig

Hailey Welch, also known as “Hawk Tuah Girl”, took to the stage and stole the mic at Zach Bryan’s show at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on Saturday (29 June).

In case you’re unfamiliar with Welch, here’s a quick explainer: she went viral on TikTok after an on-street interviewer asked her a bunch of questions, with one answer sending the internet wild.

After she was asked what “move in bed makes a man go crazy,” Welch answered, “You gotta give him that ‘hawk tuah’. Spit on that thang.” The original video has over 1.6 million views on TikTok, and other videos starring her have racked up 8.2 and 12.5 million views, respectively.

Remixes and additional videos of people on TikTok replicating Welch’s pronunciation of “hawk tuah” have sent social media into a frenzy.

In addition to the video attention, Welch and her brand manager, Jason Poteete, confirmed to Rolling Stone that they’ve made over $65,000 in merchandise after selling hats that feature the now-iconic “hawk tuah” phrase. Welch has reportedly been in touch with a lawyer to trademark the saying.

On Saturday, Bryan brought Welch on stage, beer in hand. She made use of her time, screaming “hawk tuah” to the audience. You can check out the footage below.

Zach Bryan’s new album, The Great American Bar Scene, will be released this Thursday (4 July).

The album lands after months of teasers and the drop of two new singles, Purple Gas (featuring duet partner/the song’s original songwriter, Noeline Hofmann) and Pink Skies.

From 24 June, the Something In The Orange singer has been working to visit 23 bars across the US “that embody the spirit of American culture” and play “select cuts” from his upcoming album. You can pre-order The Great American Bar Scene here.

Bryan recently revealed that the album would contain 16 songs and a poem, stating that his new music may be his best yet. The singer said the release has the vibes of a “depressed and hopeful summer vacation”.

New music from Bryan has been coming for a long time, with the singer revealing that he was “about half done” with the upcoming album on social media in January.
