Oklahoma-based country singer Zach Bryan has been on a roll on X (formerly known as Twitter) in the last few hours, answering fan tweets regarding a new album.

The news complements Bryan’s ongoing nine-month stint in North America on his Quittin Time Tour, which started in March. The singer completed the round of Oklahoma shows last weekend (17th and 18th May) and is presumed to be home for the week before jetting to Nevada to play at the T-Mobile Arena.

The new album follows a solid run for the artist, with Bryan recently taking home a win at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in February. Bryan was awarded Best Country Duo for his collaboration with trailblazer Kacey Musgraves on the track I Remember Everything. The track would also be nominated across the board at events such as People’s Choice Awards, Billboard Awards, and Academy of Country Music Awards.

The stream of album-related posts began flowing at 10:30 am AEST, with Bryan posting a video he described as a “hangover jam”.

The country star sat in his light-filled home banging out a piano tune while his soft vocals crooned, along with the caption, “Long month behind us, thank you guys, I love all of ya, and I’m gonna head to bed for 4 days.”

It seemed the Oklahoma Smokeshow singer wasn’t ready for bed just yet, as an immediate post followed with a watercolour album cover that Bryan simply added would be out at midnight (3 pm AEST).

This post was a follow-up to the Instagram post made by Bryan earlier in the week, where he stated he’d release a new song called Pink Skies (Eulogy), then followed by a breadcrumb trail of cryptic song lyrics weaved throughout later posts.

Replying to another fan message, Bryan revealed that his next album would contain 16 songs as well as a poem, and he stated that it may be his best work. As for the season of the album, “It’s a slow one. I’d say depressed and hopeful summer vacation.”

Earlier this month, Countrytown reported that Bryan confirmed the release of a new album, with the singer sharing the title The Great American Bar Scene.
