The 2024 Gympie Music Muster has grown even larger, with festival organisers today revealing an epic final artist announcement.

Casey Barnes, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows and Dragon lead the announcement, with Tori Forsyth, Melanie Dyer, The Whitlams Black Stump, Taylor Moss, The Bushwackers, Chad Morgan, Allan Caswell and Natalie Pearson also set to perform.

This year’s Australian Idol winner and one-half of Sons Of Atticus, Dylan Wright, will also take the Muster stage. Today’s announcement comprises an impressive 60 artists, joining a strong line-up of now 140 acts. Check out the final artist announcement poster below.

“I'm so excited to come and play at the Muster that I've asked if I can play twice,” The Whitlams’ Tim Freedman shared in a statement. “So, my piano and pedal steel duo is performing in the intimate Grove on Saturday afternoon as well as the full band show on Sunday. This is my Gympie debut, and I can't wait.”

Casey Barnes added, “It’s always a huge honour being part of the Gympie Muster line-up. Even more special this year because I have a new album out and a new live show coming your way. There’s no festival like Muster in Australia!"

Melanie Dyer, returning to the festival for the first time since 2017, said she’s “beyond excited” to appear there and “pumped to make some new Muster mates.”

Dyer’s affection for the Muster goes beyond music, too. She continued, “I have the best memories of being huddled around the fire drums, sharing laughs and stories with people from far and wide. It reminds me of growing up as a kid on a farm and strumming my guitar around the campfire with my family.”

Gympie Muster CEO Greg Cavanagh added, “The final announcement includes 60 artists and has a great mix of heritage rock bands and is bolstered by many country artists.

“In total, we’ve got 140 artists including an awesome blues line-up, it's a really solid program with a great mix of genres and legendary Australian artists.”

The 2024 Gympie Music Muster runs over four days, from Thursday, 22 August, to Sunday, 25 August, at the Amamoor State Forest (approximately 40 kilometres southwest of Gympie). The final artists appear on the line-up alongside James Johnston, Brad Cox, Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole, Amber Lawrence, Lane Pittman, Shannon Noll, Tex Perkins, Pierce Brothers, Richard Clapton, and many others.
