While Christmas may be over, the spirit of giving is still alive with the announcement of this generous and exciting lineup geared to play Gympie Music Muster’s Boss Hire Blues Bar in August 2025.
Gympie Music Muster held its first edition in 1982 as a celebration of the Golden Guitar won by The Webb Brothers. Since then, the event has honoured and served its purpose of giving back to those in need in our communities, known nationwide as one of the most iconic fundraising events in the country, having given more than $20 million to local community groups and charities since its humble beginnings. In addition, over 2500 music acts have performed at Gympie Music Muster including the late Slim Dusty (who has a campsite on the grounds named after him).
This year’s edition of GMM saw the highest ever recorded attendance the festival has ever seen, with a whopping 50,000 people gathering at Amamoor Creek State Forest for the celebration. For 2025, the festival will kick it up a notch with the announcement of artists taking over the Boss Hire Blues Bar.
Blues fans can expect performances from local legends and internationally acclaimed artists, including Ash Grunwald, Emma Donovan, Bondi Cigars, Karise Eden, 19-Twenty and Lloyd Spiegel.
Playing GMM for the first time, Emma Donovan said she is excited to soak up everything that the Muster has to offer.
“I’ve never played at Gympie Muster, but I have heard of it for years, especially with connections to the Tamworth Country Music festival, I’ve heard many artists that I admire playing at Gympie,” she said.

“I am excited to play my music and share my story to many at Gympie and always in Queensland. I look forward to seeing the site and seeing other bands and, as always, I’ll play with my full band but can get a feel of playing an acoustic set to the festival too.”
On the opposite end, Lloyd Spiegel, who will be playing for the fifth time next year, is eager to return to an environment that champions the depths and diversity of the blues.
“I love playing the Blues stage at Gympie,” he said.
“I’m a blues artist so that goes without saying, but what makes this event unique and exciting becomes clear when wandering from stage to stage. The merging of country, blues, folk, rock and a whole bunch of styles in between showcases the wonderful melting pot that makes Australian music so special.”
Gympie Music Muster will take place from 28 August 2025 to 31 August 2025 at Amamoor Creek State Forest. Tickets can be purchased here. Check out the full lineup below.
