With its unique combination of country music charm, ocean calm and tropical palms, Groundwater Country Music Festival promises to deliver a memorable weekend of sun, sand, surf, sophistication and incredible sounds.

With the second reveal of its HUGE line-up, the festival now boasts more than 40 artists set to perform across five stages over three days from Friday, November 12 to Sunday, November 14. And best of all, Groundwater CMF is a free, non-ticketed event held throughout the streets, parks, bars, and restaurants of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.

Artists added to the bill include Adam Brand, Catherine Britt, Casey Barnes, Kaylee Bell, Nick Thomas’ Roving Commission, Brad Butcher, The Audreys, Halfway, Melanie Dyer, Darlinghurst, Lily Grace, SaltbushSix and Brook Chivell.

The Bakersfield Glee Club, Sammy White, Natalie Pearson, The New Graces, Arlington, Michael Carpenter and the Banks Brothers, Aaron D’Arcy, These Isle Hands, Haystack Mountain Hermits, The Mason Boys and The Colonel’s Country Cottage Disco will perform too.

Festival Director Mark Duckworth says, "I’m so excited to present an extremely diverse country music line up for Groundwater this November.  It will be great to see Adam Brand, Catherine Britt, and Casey Barnes back at the event, as well as festival first timers like The New Graces, Arlington, and Lily Grace. Every stage will see a stellar line up of our homegrown Aussie country music artists."

He adds, "Groundwater CMF is unlike your typical country music festival, our picturesque beachside destination on the Gold Coast gives country music fans the opportunity to enjoy a tropical holiday whilst kicking back and watching their favourite artists - It’s the ultimate festival experience, and best of all, Groundwater CMF is completely free to attend."

The first star-studded line-up was announced on June 17, with Tasmanian brother duo, The Wolfe Brothers as headliner, along with Adam Harvey, Sara Storer, Gina Jeffreys, Andrew Farriss, The Sunny Cowgirls, Tami Neilson, Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham.

Previously announced, McAlister Kemp will no longer perform, following the cancellation of their After The Breakdown 2021 tour.

Groundwater is one of the few music festivals to be held in a year marred by festival cancellations due to the global pandemic. Following the cancellation of the 2020 event due to ongoing pandemic concerns, the 2019 event was a major success with 73,000 people attending, an increase of 15% from the previous year and injecting approximately $8.46million into the local economy.

Established in 2013 as the Broadbeach Country Music Festival, the festival was rebranded as Groundwater Country Music Festival in 2018. Groundwater is a common denominator in bringing people together. It reflects Australia’s unique culture, drawing from both the Aboriginal people’s close spiritual connection with the groundwater, as well as the farming community’s reliance on groundwater for survival. Groundwater reflects the innate culture of the Australian people who use the rivers, lakes, streams, and oceans as a central part of life.
