Casey Barnes, Tori Forsyth, James Johnston Nominated For ARIA Awards

The 2024 ARIA Award nominees were announced this morning, with Aussie indie rockers Royel Otis leading the charge with an incredible eight nominations.

Other multiple award nominees include Kylie Minogue, EDM star Dom Dolla, singer-songwriter Angie McMahon, pop star Amy Shark, and more. Additionally, country music Troy Cassar-Daley is one of the top nominees for this year’s awards, having been recognised in three categories.

Cassar-Daley has been nominated for Best Country Album (for Between The Fires), Best Cover Art, and Best Solo Artist.

The Best Country Album is stacked with talent this year, with the following artists joining Cassar-Daley for a potential award: Casey Barnes with Mayday, Henry Wagons with The Four Seasons, James Johnston with RAISED LIKE THAT, and Tori Forsyth with All We Have Is Who We Are.

There’s also an international icon joining the fun, with Zach Bryan nominated for Most Popular International Artist. Likely to be a competitive category, Bryan appears alongside Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, and others.

Forsyth described being nominated for Best Country Album as “historic”.

Giving a shoutout to ARIA for recognising her album as one to be nominated, she wrote on Instagram, “I am unbelievably stoked because ‘All We Have Is Who We Are’ is nominated for a freakin ARIA AWARD. Thank you so much for recognising this album as something worth highlighting as part of the country music landscape.”
