Casey Barnes Brings Country To the City With New Tour

After a massive eighteen months which included ARIA, APRA and Golden Guitar award wins, hit-after-hit with songs like Summer Nights, Small Town, Get To Know Ya and God Took His Time On You and rocking the stages of every major country music festival in Australia, country-rock singer-songwriter, Casey Barnes is now setting his sights on bringing country to the city this September with the City Nights tour. 

Taking in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne and with tickets on sale 9am, Wednesday 24th May, the tour will mark his biggest shows in those cities to date. The City Nights tour will follow hot on the heels of a run of shows in the U.S, including spotlight performances at the iconic CMA Fest in Nashville. 

Barnes said, “We’ve been lucky to get to see most of this amazing country over the last 18 months on the Light It Up tour and now we’re excited to be taking country to the city for the City Nights tour this September! Three headline shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, in bigger venues. Don’t worry, we’re planning to hit every part of Australia with an even bigger tour and a new album early next year, but in the meantime, you’ll be able to get a taste of the new music plus all the hits at these three special shows in September. We can't wait to take country to the city!”

Joining Barnes on the tour is rising country duo, Zac & George, who have had a run of hit singles including Red Wine & Roses, Bar Stool and Sleep On It.

Barnes will also release his new single this Friday, May 26. Boys Like Me is the second single from the follow-up album to the massively successful Light It Up, with the new album due in early 2024. It follows his latest single, Summer Nights which currently sits at #2 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Airplay Chart.
