Brooks & Dunn's upcoming CMC Rocks sideshows have been met with overwhelming demand, with extra arena shows announced today.

Brooks & Dunn Profile

It might seem obvious to fans, but Brooks & Dunn’s upcoming Australian performances have drawn an incredible response.

Headlining the 2027 edition of CMC Rocks Queensland as the beloved festival celebrates its 20th anniversary, Brooks & Dunn will make their CMC debut, and their headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney mark their first dates in Australia since 2009.

The renowned country duo are already performing sideshows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and Sydney’s Afterpay Arena (formerly known as Qudos Bank Arena) next year. Those dates have been met with overwhelming demand, so extra shows at both venues have been announced.

With the new shows announced, Brooks & Dunn will perform back-to-back headline dates at Sydney’s Afterpay Arena on Wednesday, 24 March, and Thursday, 25 March (just added), followed by Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Saturday, 27 March, and Sunday, 28 March (just added).

Pre-sale tickets for the just-announced shows will be available today from 1 pm local time – pre-sale allocation for the first shows has been exhausted – followed by the general sale for all dates on Friday, 9 October, from 10 am local time.

For their upcoming headline shows, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will be joined by fellow CMC headliner, Ashley McBryde, and fast-rising Australian country star, Mack Geiger.

Brooks & Dunn joined forces at the end of the ‘80s and released their debut album and single – both named Brand New Man – in 1991. Launching their career with four consecutive chart toppers on the US Country chart, the duo helped reignite a love affair with line dancing thanks to Boot Scootin’ Boogie and became icons of country music.

The pair would split in 2010, making their first trip to Australia the year prior. Thankfully, they reunited in 2014, and have remained a touring entity, with new albums Reboot and Reboot II arriving in 2019 and 2024, respectively.

Additionally, they’re one of the most awarded groups in country music history, having made history as the winners of the most Country Music Association Awards – including the Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be handed out at the 2026 Awards next month.
