After years of crafting her sound and refining her voice on stages across the country, rising country artist Briana Dinsdale has announced the release of her highly anticipated debut EP, Late Night Small Talks, arriving October 31st.
The six-track project marks a major milestone for the Queensland singer-songwriter, who’s quickly earned recognition for her heartfelt lyrics, raw emotional delivery, and fresh take on country storytelling.
Blending classic country influences with a modern edge, Late Night Small Talks captures the spirit of late-night vulnerability and introspection, the kind of honest conversations we often have with ourselves when the world quiets down.
“I wanted this EP to show every side of me as a songwriter - the good, the bad, and everything in between,” says Dinsdale. “From hate songs to love songs, to reflections on my family and my own journey, these tracks are my way of starting real conversations through music.”
The EP was recorded in Nashville and includes co-writes with an impressive lineup of collaborators such as Steve Dean, Liam Kennedy-Clark, Gavin Carfoot, Nolan Wynne, Sari Abbott, Ashlyn Dinsdale, Jared Porter and Lyn Bowtell.
It’s been a breakout year for Dinsdale. Following national radio success with Real Time Love, a Top 10 Toyota Star Maker nod, and performances at some of Australia’s biggest country festivals, Dinsdale has quickly emerged as one of the most promising new voices in Australian country.

She’s already shared the stage with acts like John Williamson, The Wolfe Brothers, Craig Wayne Boyd, Pete Murray, and The Whitlams and her momentum isn’t slowing down. With Late Night Small Talks, Dinsdale is officially stepping into her own and inviting listeners into the heart of her journey so far.
A stand out track on the EP is One Half of Two, written as a birthday gift to her sister Ashlyn, this tender track is a nostalgic tribute to their shared childhood and unbreakable bond.
“It’s about all the memories we’ve shared, the late-night talks, the laughter, and the unspoken understanding that we’ll always have each other’s backs.” Dinsdale shares. “She’s my other half, and this song is my way of saying thank you for being there through everything."
In contrast, Resentment doesn’t shy away from pain. It dives headfirst into the aftermath of heartbreak, capturing that complicated space where love turns into something heavier and unresolved
"I wanted to put all those messy, leftover feelings into words. Resentment is honest and unfiltered - it’s about looking at the parts of love that hurt the most and making peace with them."
With Late Night Small Talks, Briana Dinsdale delivers a debut that’s as honest as it is heartfelt, creating a striking introduction to an artist coming into her own. Blending emotional vulnerability with undeniable songwriting talent, she firmly establishes herself as one of the most compelling new voices in Australian country music.
