Brett Young’s 2025 Australian tour has gotten more exciting with the addition of special guest Sam Fischer set to open all shows.
The Australian singer-songwriter famously cut his teeth in Sydney before breaking out as an international R&B star, now based between LA and London. The breakout success of his 2019 single, This City, and debut album, I Love You, Please Don’t Hate Me, released in December 2023, has led to a major career resurgence.
In a 2024 interview with The Music, Fischer said, “Where I live is on the stage; that’s what I wanna do. I feel like that’s the piece of the puzzle that’s been missing… people seeing me live.”
Fischer will return to Australian stages this May when he opens for Brett Young.
The tour will see the artists perform at Metropolis Fremantle on Saturday, 17 May, followed by Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Monday, 19 May, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, 21 May (sold out), and Thursday, 22 May, Rockhampton’s Great Western Hotel on Saturday, 24 May (sold out), and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Sunday, 25 May (sold out).
Final tickets to the Melbourne, Sydney, and Fremantle shows are on sale now via the Live Nation website.

Brett Young’s forthcoming tour comes after the release of his recent single, Tastes Like You.
A heartbreaking ballad written by Young, Justin Ebach, Noah Needleman, and Jon Nite, the track captures the heartache and pain that comes with someone unforgettable no longer being in your life.
Young said about the song, “Tastes Like You is about not being able to get over somebody after a breakup because they are attached to all of your favourite things. They are in every place and everything.”
Young’s Back To Basics tour will find the singer-songwriter offering a stripped-back, personal experience between artist and fans.
