Australian country singer Andrew Swift is preparing for a big year, dropping his first new single of 2025 (Nothing Better) amid a massive national tour.
Swift is a three-time Golden Guitar award winner, a soon-to-be first-time dad, and, according to a press release, a new homeowner. He said of his thankful attitude, “It feels like not long ago I was mentally preparing to be fixing caravans and living life as a single man until the end of my days.
“I didn’t think that being a full-time musician, homeowner, having a loving partner and a baby on the way would be on the cards, but here we are. Sometimes life blindsides you in the best way possible.”
Nothing Better was written by Swift and co-writers Lindsay Rimes and Tyler James Bellinger at the APRA Melbourne – Nashville SongHubs sessions in Nashville, Tennessee. Swift added, “A lot of the songs I wrote during those sessions were about being grateful for where I’m at in life, and this song in particular really captured that.”
An exciting new song from Swift, Nothing Better was produced by Swift’s long-time collaborator and multi-award winner, Matt Fell. “Having previously worked together on the last three albums, I feel like we’re on the same page now more than ever,” Swift said. “I love being able to get down to his new studio, Wilder Studios, in remote Tasmania. It feels like you’re a million miles away from the real world, and you can really focus on the recording process.”

The release of Swift’s new single arrives during his biggest Australian tour to date, which finds him stopping in five states (New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, and Western Australia).
“Touring is possibly my favourite part of being a singer/songwriter,” Swift said. “I love getting on the road, the driving, the shows and connecting with an audience.”
The tour began at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and continues into May before Swift performs at Tunes In The Tropics and the Gympie Music Muster in August. You can check out all the tour dates below.
