Andrew Farriss, renowned country songwriter and co-founder of INXS, is gearing up for his Something Stronger tour, bringing on an army of support acts to add to the already highly anticipated tour.

Kicking off on October 24 at the Brass Monkey in Cronulla, Farriss will be joined by Bryce Sainty. Sainty, a rising star in the Australian country scene, first caught Farriss's attention at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2022 and has since garnered over three million Spotify streams.

On October 25, Canberra’s Live At The Polo will feature Dana Hassall, an emerging talent from the ACT known for her engaging country sound. Farriss’ set at The Orange Wine Festival on October 26 will be opened by Kyle Manning, a dynamic performer making waves with his fresh take on country music.

Five-time Golden Guitar winners The Davidson Brothers will support Farriss at Melbourne's Brunswick Ballroom on October 31 and Bendigo's Golden Vine Hotel on November 1. Their rich bluegrass and country influences are expected to complement Farriss’s show seamlessly.

For the Gold Coast show on November 2nd and the Brisbane show on November 3rd, Tori Forsyth, a nominee for the 2024 Q Music Awards, will take the stage. Forsyth recently released her latest album, All We Have Is Who We Are, to wide acclaim and spoke with Countrytown about her creative process for the project.

The Something Stronger tour will conclude with Claudia Tripp, a 2023 Tamworth Country Music Festival Toyota Star Maker finalist, performing at four WA venues from November 7 to 10.

The chosen support acts underscore the tour’s commitment to showcasing emerging talent alongside established artists, with Farriss commenting on the importance of supporting up-and-comers.

“Within the music industry both here in Australia and overseas, support bands and singer/songwriters play a very important role, both for the audience and for showcasing the talents of the musicians and singers involved,” Farriss said.

“I know how it feels in both places. I have lived this and have performed myself both as a support act and to be encouraging support acts as the main concert headliner.

“This is gonna be awesome. It’s gonna kick ass.”
