Andrew Farriss, co-founder of INXS and one of Australia’s most loved songwriters, continues his solo career by announcing his Something Stronger Australian tour.

The tour – named after the artist’s latest critically acclaimed single – comes ahead of Farriss’s country-infused album, The Prospector, due for release in 2025.

Farriss begins his tour at Brass Monkey, Cronulla, on Thursday, 24 October, and follows up that date with Canberra’s Live At The Polo on Friday, 25 October, Orange Wine Festival – Canobolas Dance Hall in Orange on Saturday, 26 October, Melbourne’s Brunswick Ballroom on Thursday, 31 October, Bendigo’s Golden Vine Hotel on Friday, 1 November, Mo’s Desert Clubhouse in Burleigh Heads on Saturday, 2 November, Brisbane’s Lefty’s Music Hall on Sunday, 3 November, Margaret River’s The River on Friday, 8 November, Bunbury’s Froth Craft Brewery on Saturday, 9 November, and wraps up at Fremantle’s Mojo’s on Friday, 10 November.

You can find tickets to Farriss’s Something Stronger tour on Monday, 22 July, via his website.

Farriss said about the tour in a statement, “I am so excited to get out to play across Australia and play something old, something new, and Something Stronger!”

Farriss previously said of Something Stronger’s energy, “I wanted to record a song about grit and passion.” The effort paid off in spades—Something Stronger soars with belting electric guitars, thrashing drums, and the former INXS icon’s soulful and commanding vocals coalescing into a beautifully dirty, energised barnstormer.

Something Stronger arrived as our first preview of Farriss’ second full-length solo effort, The Prospector, primed for release in early 2025 via Rockingham Recordings.

The storied artist teased of the follow-up to his self-titled 2021 debut: “The songs on The Prospector are about searching for the gold in life – reaching out for something higher. It’s about digging deep inside and encouraging others to look for the real treasures in life.”
