Adelaide’s Carols by Candlelight is fast approaching, with the air date announced and the performers’ line-up revealed.

The event will take over Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama for the 81st St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight in Adelaide on Saturday (13 December), where an audience of 20,000 is expected to attend.

For punters attending the event, the gates will open at 3 pm, followed by the Adelaide Community Concert at 5 pm. The main Carols by Candlelight concert begins at 8:30 pm, and the night will end with a fireworks finale at 10:45 pm.

For those watching the television broadcast, tune in from 7 pm on Sunday, 14 December, on 7TWO. The festive concert will be replayed in the afternoon of Christmas Day.

The Carols by Candlelight event raises vital funds for St John Ambulance South Australia, with proceeds going towards first aid services, community training, and life-saving programs.

In addition to announcing the air date, the full line-up for this year’s event has been confirmed.

Leo Sayer will perform, as well as Marina Prior, Hugh Sheridan, Emma Memma and her friend BB Butterfly, Australian country music stars Amber Lawrence and James Johnston, plus Jai Laga’aia, Paulini, Taylor Henderson, this year’s Australian Idol winner Marshall Hamburger, this year’s The Voice Australia winner Alyssa Delpopolo, Patrizio Buanne, and Bonnie Anderson.

TV Tonight reports that this year’s performers will be joined by Adelaide ensembles such as the Gospo Collective, Dancers by Donna, Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus, Young Adelaide Voices, and the Adelaide Concert Orchestra. Across the day, over 200 performers will take to the stage.

“With our full line-up confirmed, we are ready to deliver the most unforgettable Carols yet,” said St John Ambulance’s Maree Geraghty. “This event brings South Australians together in celebration while supporting the essential work St John provides across the state.”

The announcement for Adelaide’s Carols by Candlelight follows the recent reveal of Vision Australia’s Carols event, which locked in global country music star Lainey Wilson and Australian country crooner Morgan Evans, as well as Paulini, Marina Prior, and many others.
