Adam Brand, Jess Moskaluke, Ella Hooper & More Added To 2024 Groundwater Country Music Festival

The lineup for this year’s Groundwater Country Music Festival has grown with its sprawling second artist announcement, ballooning the itinerary out to 38 acts.

Topping the 19-name expansion to the bill is Australian country music legend Adam Brand. He’s joined by Canadian favourite Jess Moskaluke, a tribute to the iconic Linda Ronstadt – led by Killing Heidi’s Ella Hooper – and such Aussie favourites as the Davidson Brothers, Melanie Dyer, Abbie Ferris, Route 33, Matt Ward, Brooke Schubert and Brittany Elise.

In a press statement, Brand expressed his keenness to hit the Groundwater stage in October: “There’s nothing like Groundwater! It’s something pretty unique to be blasting out country music in the middle of the holiday strip right on the beach... oh and did I mention it’s totally free?! Does it get any better?”

The excitement was shared by Hooper, who said in her own statement: “I’m so ready to bring our Linda show to Groundwater! We know it’s a festival for real music lovers, people who aren’t afraid to have a good time and kick up some dust and that’s just perfect for the way we pay tribute to such a queen – of country, rock, pop and more... the one and only Linda Ronstadt! We’ll turn up the twang on all her hits and lean into those sweet ‘70s, ‘80s vibes together! Can’t wait.”

Also speaking publicly about today’s (August 13) announcement was festival director Mark Duckworth, who said: “We’re incredibly amped to reveal more artists coming to the Gold Coast for Groundwater Country Music Festival 2024 in what promises to be three days of awesome country music for the festival.

“This lineup showcases a perfectly balanced mix of established stars and rising talents all playing their own brand of country, from Country Rock to honky tonk and everything in between Groundwater will blast unique sounds and energy across the festival precinct and onto the beach.”

And lastly, Experience Gold Coast CEO John Warn noted that Groundwater CMF is “a favourite on the country music calendar for artists and festival goers alike”. He added: “Each year this unique festival brings together some of the best local, national and international country acts right here on the coast as well as fans from across Australia in a shared love of country music.”

This year’s Groundwater CMF will take over Broadbeach from Friday October 18 to Sunday 20, with the entire festival free to attend – head here for more info on how to be a part of it.

The first artist announcement for the festival arrived back in May, featuring names like Kasey Chambers, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, Shannon Noll, Taylor Moss, Christie Lamb, Josh Setterfield, this year’s Toyota Star Maker winner Wade Forster and many more.
