Country trailblazer Adam Brand has been announced as the Australia's only music festival on an island, Country on Keppel headliner for 2023.
Adam Brand has been announced as the Country on Keppel headliner for next year!
Brand says, “I’ve heard so much about this festival – the only country festival on an island in Australia-that I have to see what it is all about for myself. I love nothing more than rocking out with my band and with a setting like Great Keppel Island mixed with a few cocktails, I think the crowd will be well and truly ready to party next year.”
Scheduled for July 14-16, 2023, at Great Keppel Island Hideaway (15 kilometres from the coast off Yeppoon in the Shire of Livingstone), Country on Keppel offers a truly unique mix of music and island atmosphere to create a festival like no other.
Organisers wanted to continue to build on the strong reputation Country on Keppel has developed and honour the legacy of the late Peter Blundell who came up with the original idea for the festival. Blundell tragically lost his battle to cancer in late 2021.
As well as enjoying the music of top-notch artists (to be announced at a later date), Country on Keppel is about embracing 17 white sandy beaches, which is still a beautiful temperature in July, the setting and the laidback atmosphere that the island offers.
Despite being one of the few music festivals that continued to run during the ongoing pandemic, Country On Keppel 2022 was cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control.

Organisers said, “We appreciate the support the festival has received since the inaugural event in July 2019, from music lovers and artists across Australia. We want to ensure we bring everyone the best possible music experience that Great Keppel Island Hideaway can offer, so we are unable to run the festival in 2022. We hope to welcome you all back to the festival and will keep everyone updated.”
General accommodation and tickets for 2023 are on sale from Monday, May 16 with those returning festival goers still in credit, having been advised of their accommodation and festival arrangements. Festival tickets and accommodation packages are all on offer by contacting Great Keppel Island Hideaway on (07) 4939 2050 or email bookings@gkihideaway.com.au.
