And just like that, they’re back!
After a stellar sold out run earlier this year of three Sydney Opera Houses and five Hamer Halls in Melbourne, GILLIAN WELCH & DAVID RAWLINGS make an exciting return to Australiafor the second leg of their Woodland campaign.
This time hittin’ the road from Queensland and making their way down the East Coast, with a slight detour to Adelaide, then finishing in regional Victoria.
Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne, Geelong, and even Korumburra, prepare yourself for the magic of this dynamic duo.Gates open at 5pm. Gillian Welch & David Rawlings will commence at 7pm and are scheduled to finish just after 9PM with the event concluding then.SEATING – RESERVED AREASThis is an outdoor show located in a small grassy field set amongst the gum trees. It is a seated show with A Reserve and B Reserve seats available for purchase. Your ticket provides access to only the seating Reserve area you have purchased. Individual seats are not allocated. Please do not bring any chairs with you.FOOD AND BEVERAGEFood vans and a licenced bar will be onsite close to the staging area. ATMS, EFTPOS & CASHGillan Welch & David Rawlings at Coal Creek is a cashless event. EFTPOS and credit card facilities will be available at the Bar and merchandise stand and food vans for purchases only. Gillian Welch & David Rawlings merchandise will be available at the event.CHILDRENThe event is all ages however there is no youth or child tickets for this show.TRANSPORTDriving:For those driving to the event we encourage you to carpool. Parking is available but it is limited. Plus, you should really enjoy the fabulous beverages we have for you (responsibly of course). Parking and Access to Venue Parking and entry:All event parking areas are located near the main entrance to Coal Creek. From the entrance it’s about a five minute walk down a hill, through the beautiful Coal Creek historical village to the Lower Park staging area.Accessible Parking:Accessible parking area is available. Please email gillian.david.coalcreekinfo@gmail.com for further info.Buses:There are limited public transport services from Metro Melbourne and regional areas to Korumburra. You can plan a public transport journey HERE. Please note there are no public transport services on Saturday 28 February after the show from Korumburra. Local Bus travelling via Wonthaggi, Cape Paterson, Inverloch and Korumburra:Subject to demand, a local bus may be available to and from Coal Creek. Bookings will be essential with pick up points available in Wonthaggi, Cape Paterson, Inverloch and Korumburra. Further info will be sent to ticket holders closer to the show. WHAT YOU CAN'T BRING• No alcohol – this is a licensed event, strictly no BYO• Please do not bring: cans, glass items, knives, tables, couches, beanbags, weapons of any sort, selfie/ go pro sticks, lasers, flashlights, fireworks, items capable of being used as a projectile, tents or sun shelters• No professional cameras (unless you have been accredited by our Publicity Team)• No animals (except guide dogs) WHAT YOU CAN BRING• Your ticket and Photo ID• Water bottles – There will be a drinking water trailer onsite to refill drink bottles.• Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat – make sure you Slip Slop Slap during the day• A warm jacket as it can get cold after sunset• Chairs / Seating - please refer to the above "Chairs & Seating at the Event" section• Food is permitted (we understand some people have special dietary requirements or are bringing their children) however we encourage you to experience the incredible edibles from our vendors.PLEASE NOTE:Due to licensing laws, your bags may be subject to bag check upon arrival by security.
