VIDEO PREMIERE: Shea Fisher – ‘Ow In Cowboy’

After making a heartfelt return to country music with the emotionally charged Take Me Back to Texas, singer-songwriter and entrepreneur Shea Fisher is switching gears and turning up the volume with her new single Ow In Cowboy, out August 4.

A cheeky, high-energy anthem full of Texas charm, the track was co-written with longtime friend and country chart-topper Walker Hayes. “We finished it in under an hour,” Fisher recalls. “It’s one of those feel-good songs that had us laughing the whole time.

“I kept the demo tucked away for a few years, but I always felt like it was something the world needed to hear. Because let’s be honest, we could all use a little more fun these days.”

The Ow In Cowboy video brings the song’s playful spirit to life with a barroom backdrop that feels straight out of a Friday night in Texas. Between scenes of Shea backed by her band and a buzzing dance floor full of cowboy boots and two-steppers, there are flashes of rodeo action, ropes flying and the kind of adrenaline that mirrors the track’s fiery attitude. It’s fun, fresh, and cheeky, with just the right amount of country grit. 

The song encompasses the grit and humour that have defined Fisher’s journey, from her early days growing up on the rodeo circuit in Australia to the wild journey of raising a family and building multiple businesses on a Texas ranch. While the heartfelt storytelling of her comeback single introduced new fans to the depth of her artistry, Ow in Cowboy showcases her sharp wit and undeniable country edge.

Fisher first rose to fame at 19 with a string of #1 hits on the Australian country charts, and later made waves in Nashville with Don’t Chase Me and Suitcase. Now, after time away focused on raising three kids and building powerhouse brands like Shea Baby and Shea Michelle Buckles, she’s back bolder than ever.

With more music on the way including the upcoming single The Truck, co-written with hitmaker Jaron Boyer, this chapter is shaping up to be Fisher’s most fearless yet.

“I wondered if it was too late to come back,” she says. “But now I realise women like me, moms, entrepreneurs, dreamers, we have stories to tell. And people are listening.”
