Less than a year after taking out the Junior category at last year’s Mothertone Gympie Music Muster Talent Search, Lucy Beveridge has unveiled her debut original single.
The song, A Million Different Things, was released via Community Music earlier this month, and the music video arrives this week, with Countrytown sharing the video premiere today.
The music video, shot by Roaming Creatives, finds Beveridge singing and twirling in a peaceful meadow among trees and grass, her calm nature beautifully contrasted by the natural environment and warm lighting.
Beveridge sings with an Australian accent, commanding with her authentic take on country music. Joined by acoustic guitars and a gradually unfurling arrangement, A Million Different Things gains a new life in the music video.

A Million Different Things explores personal freedom and wonders why we lose our childhood sense of curiosity, wonder and abandon as adults. With her debut single, Beveridge reminds fans to reconnect with their younger selves and the magic they left behind.
The track explores personal freedom and asks a simple question: why do we outgrow our sense of wonder as adults? The song is a beautiful reminder to reconnect with the curiosity and childlike magic we all left behind.
“The song is about my journey of trying to reconnect with my own personal freedom,” Beveridge explained in a statement.
She continued, “I believe, as children, we have something that we tend to outgrow as we trickle into adulthood. Within the lyrics, I speak on learning to tap into the inner child that lives within all of us, learning once again to embrace freedom and childlike wonder. Curiosity doesn’t have to be something that we outgrow, and I hope listeners can connect with that.”
A Million Different Things marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Beveridge, who will take her debut single to this year’s Gympie Music Muster.
The Lake Macquarie-based singer-songwriter has made a name for herself, having won the Folk Federation of NSW Young Folk Artist of the Year, the prestigious Mothertone Gympie Music Muster Junior Talent Search, and the APRA AMCOS ACMF National Songwriting Competition Young Songwriter of the Year Award.
With A Million Different Things, Beveridge launches into a growing career with fresh, original music.
