VIDEO PREMIERE: Lane Pittman - 'Love In A Country Town'

Lane Pittman, the local opener for Luke Combs’ recent tour of Australia and winner of Countrytown’s inaugural ranking of the best mullets in Australian country music, is back with a new single, Love In A Country Town.

Countrytown proudly premieres the music video today.

A pop-country tune that can be played on country and mainstream radio, Pittman strums an acoustic guitar on the Qudos Bank Arena stage as live footage from his opening slot with Combs is interspersed throughout the video. The most endearing segments find Pittman and his band marvelling at the opportunity backstage.

After the first chorus, Pittman and his band go electric, with the guitarists providing bright melodies as he tells the tale of a girl finding love in a country town.

Love In A Country Town is Pittman’s first single since recently signing to Chugg Music and has already gained over 127,000 streams. You can watch the music video below, exclusively premiering on Countrytown.

“Love in A Country Town feels like a fresh start for me,” Pittman said about the single in a press release. “It’s the launch of this new chapter, and I think it really reflects that. This song is all about falling in love, which I did from the second I heard it. I really hope people enjoy it and love it just as much as I do!”

We were introduced to Pittman last year when he auditioned with Even Though I’m Leaving by Luke Combs on The Voice Australia. He thrived in the competition, and despite not winning, he’s already made an impressive career for himself that will only continue developing.

Earlier this year, Pittman performed at CMC Rocks and sold out his first-ever ticketed show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Describing the “full-circle” moment of opening for the US superstar that is Combs across Australia, Pittman told the enthusiastic Brisbane audience, “I’ll be outside near the Canadian Club tent. Grab a drink and a photo!” In January, Pittman was crowned the 2023 Toyota Best of the Buskers champion.
