Following on from the success of her latest album Truth, Christie Lamb worked with producer Stuart Stuart to create a catchy upbeat track that showcases both Christie’s powerhouse vocals as well as her infectious energy. Tipsy is authentically Christie, country with a rock edge and promises to be a big hit for Christie as she embraces a new direction musically.

Christie says, “I had so much fun writing this one and I truly feel this song captures me. It’s both topically and sonically very country. Tipsy is a fun, playful, toe tapping party track sure to get any night started.”

The accompanying music video, which premieres today exclusively on Countrytown, was created with the same kind of fun, infectious energy as the track.

Christie adds, “When it came to shooting the music video with Blacklist Productions, we wanted to capture the fun of a girl’s night out along with some country boot scooting too.”

The rest of the year will see Christie travel to Nashville to write more songs to complete her next album, before returning home to play on North Queensland Rockin’ Country Music Festival and Country By The River Festival in South Australia.

Described as ‘the full package’, the multi-instrumental and award-winning singer-songwriter was awarded the CMC Awards for ‘New Oz Artist of the Year’ in 2015 and ‘Female Artist of the Year’ in 2018 and was the recipient of the 2016 Golden Guitar Award for ‘New Talent of the Year.’

In 2022, Christie released her fourth album, Truth, which features the radio hits Kiss About It, Up All Night, Beat Of My Own Drum and Three Chords And A Woman’s Truth. It was also announced as one of the top five highest selling country albums in Australia at the Golden Guitar Awards in 2023.

Christie has toured relentlessly with her own dates across Australia and New Zealand and is quite the regular face on the festival scene. She has been a part of national tours with Jon English, Lee Kernaghan, ‘The Girls of Country’ tour with Amber Lawrence and Aleyce Simmonds, and ‘This Crazy Life’ tour with The Wolfe Brothers, playing many sold out shows and expanding her fan base.

In August 2022, she welcomed her first child, a daughter named Charlotte Rose, with musician husband, Jonathan English
