“19 year old singer-songwriter from Ballarat”
Lewis Love (YouTube)
Who is Lewis Love? It’s a question I’ve floated to a few industry contacts, and the response has mostly been blank stares. He’s flying under the radar for now, but not for long. A bio that simply reads “19-year-old singer-songwriter from Ballarat” doesn’t offer much, but his debut single Can’t See The Sky, released just last month, has already clocked over 200k streams and landed him the cover of Spotify’s Heaps Country playlist.
With a raspy vocal and a raw, unpolished edge, Love’s sound draws comparisons to Zach Bryan, Cameron Whitcomb, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen, stripped-back but full of emotional punch. It’s the kind of sonic signature that resonates across borders, and audiences are clearly responding. With only two singles out, Love is already pulling in over 60,000 monthly Spotify listeners, not bad for a kid just getting started.

According to The Note, Love sold his car, booked a one-way flight to Los Angeles, and backed himself. That leap of faith paid off, landing him a partnership with Hallwood Media, the US label known for working with names like YG and Remy Bond.
He’s since returned home and is currently writing and recording, with whispers of a release on the cards for later this year.
That’s about all we know for now, but something tells us we’ll be hearing a lot more from Lewis Love soon. Watch this space.
