A lifelong love of music and writing consolidated when Bryget Chrisfield started penning live reviews for Inpress (now TheMusic) while studying Professional Writing & Editing at RMIT. After graduating, Bryget was initially employed as full-time staff writer before being promoted to Victorian editor of this national street press publication - now website - where she remained for over ten years. She is currently a freelance journalist - her byline appearing in publications including STACK, The Big Issue, The Music and Beat - and it is through interviewing musical geniuses that Bryget finds true happiness.

The day after the global premiere of The Buckleys’ 'Take It As It Comes' documentary – which screened as part of 2022’s Byron Bay Film Festival – Bryget Chrisfield sat down for a chat with its director Grant James plus all three members of the sibling band – Sarah, Lachlan and Molly – inside the beloved South Ballina home of the late, great Chris Murphy; the precise location where he signed this talented, Clunes-based outfit to his label, Petrol Records.
Byron Bay Film Festival recently hosted the global premiere of The Buckleys’ new documentary, Take It As It Comes. The documentary’s director/honorary Buckleys member Grant James flew in from the States for the post-screening Q&A.
