Countrytown is proud to premiere the long-awaited debut single from newcomer Stewart Barton. You Are Beautiful is a song about a high school love affair that drives a rockin' country feel with splashes of Australian old school rock influences.
Recorded and produced by the ARIA Award winning, Matt Fell at Love Hz Studios in Sydney, You Are Beautiful showcases a huge line up of impressive musicians. Josh Schuberth features on drums, Matt Fell on bass, while Nashville artist Rob McNelley sprinkles his guitar magic across the track.
After the completion of the track, Stewart enlisted multi Golden Guitar winner, Duncan Toombs from The Filmery to create the music video. The music video lends itself to a tribute to Australian rock legends The Choirboys track Run To Paradise and includes a cameo from lead singer Mark Gable.
Stewart says, “Chatting with Duncan, we all agreed it would be cool to give a tip of the hat to Aussie greats – The Choirboys – and tribute their iconic Run to Paradise video.”

Born in Australia’s capital, Canberra, Stewart grew up surrounded by music. Determined to become a guitarist, he taught himself the basics and developed his skills through programs for emerging Indigenous artists in the ACT region and studying the Keith Urban online program, “30 Songs in 30 Days.” Citing influences from both the country and rock worlds such as INXS, Troy Cassar-Daley, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams and Luke Combs, Stewart’s music was always destined to tell stories of what he knows and where he comes from.
After being spotted at 15-years-old by Michael Bond from Country Rocks, Stewart was offered a development opportunity under the Country Rocks Spotlight program that has enabled him to develop his craft and learn from some of the most respected in the industry.
Since then, he has appeared on stage with artists including Bill Chambers, Ben Ransom, Christie Lamb and Tommy Emmanuel and has performed on many big stages such as 2021 Country Rocks Festival, the 2019 ACT Multicultural Festival, performing the National Anthem for the opening of the PBR in Queanbeyan, entertainment for the Canberra Raiders home games and as a support for Brad Cox.
