Masked maestro Orville Peck continues his domination of 2020 with one of the most exciting collaborations in country music! Teaming up with living icon Shania Twain, the pair deliver a duet for the ages on ‘Legends Never Die’.
Complete with a film clip that sees the two legends perform at a drive-in concert (a fitting setting for life in the time of COVID-19), while attendees such as director John Waters and recent RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12 winner Jaida Essence Hall sway and dance, ‘Legends Never Die’ is a timeless country anthem.
The two Canadian artists look the part with their spangled outfits, as they feed off each other’s energy to create a cross-generational collab that will have country fans new and old delight in how uplifting, anthemic and just plain fun this song is.
‘Legends Never Die’ comes ahead of Peck’s new EP 'Show Pony' which also includes singles Summertime and No Glory In The West. According to a press release, Peck described getting Twain on a song of his as a “dream come true.”

“This is a collection of stories and I hope listeners will join me in them,” he said. “I cannot thank Shania enough for being part of this; she has always been a hero of mine and her music made me feel so empowered growing up.”
Orville Peck remains somewhat of an enigma, performing under the stage name and keeping his physical identity a mystery behind his leather-fringe mask.
Openly gay, Orville Peck represents a growing section of the country music and pop music communities, fusing his influences from these genres and channeling them into his own unique sound.
Evoking the comparisons to the likes of Roy Orbison or Elvis Presley, Orville Peck manages to cross into the mainstream of pop culture, picking up fans online and across the world. So, it’s hardly a surprise that he’d count the one and only Shania Twain as one of them. Here’s hoping this isn’t the last time we hear from these two on a song together.
