Hinterland burst onto the scene in May with the debut climbing to #8 on the country airplay chart. Now, they've released follow-up Turbulence.
Queensland trio Hinterland are continuing their hot streak with sophomore single Turbulence.
The group on the scene in May this year with their debut single In The Hinterland. The track climbed the #8 on the Australian country airplay charts.
"Turbulence is about a rocky relationship. The pair are so in love, but the guy just can't seem to work out what he wants. The girl is often left confused by the emotional roller coaster. I think its something most people can relate." Said singer Jesse Emmanuel.
"Our guitarist, Robbie, originally came up with the concept and melody and then we all work-shopped the lyrics."

Filming the music video for Turbulence, filmed by Nigel Jones, was an absolute effort for the team but it was absolutely all worth it.
"We rode our pushbikes for 6.5 kms, hiked up a hill and then literally climbed up a cliff, all with instruments and equipment on our backs, to shoot these breathtaking, sweeping drone shots atop this massive rock with the gorgeous skyline and eventual sunset behind us. Then we got back down to ground level to shoot at GC local Dreamweavers studio with our band and stunning lightning and starry imagery draped behind us. It’s nothing short of a blockbuster!" said Jesse.
As three individuals, Hinterland are some of the most decorated and well respected musicians and songwriters in Australian country music. All three have experienced success in their bands The Bostocks, The Daisy Dukes but this new project promises to be the most exciting endeavor yet for Rachel, Robbie and Jesse.
