Our Song of the Day is Raised Up by Sony Music Nashville newly signed singer-songwriter, Nate Smith. The new song written by Smith, Trannie Anderson and Jonathan Smith, reflects on Smith finding his way back to the things that ground him when life gets chaotic.

Smith says, “The day we wrote it, I had to leave the room because I was tearing up. The song talks about 'Any time I lose my way, I turn the way I was raised up,' and for me, whenever I'm lost or feeling alone, I've got God. That has really helped me, but it can be whatever somebody needs. It could be thinking about something your grandma said one time you now hold on to, or the phrase you have tattooed on your arm. It's however you find your way back home."

The Paradise, California native moved to Nashville after a wildfire devastated his hometown. Upon his arrival, he released his song, Wildfire. Smith, whose influences include Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks, Bob Seger, Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac, has also released the tracks Sleeve, Heart Of A Country Song, I Don’t Want To Go To Heaven, Reckless and Under My Skin.

The former worship leader has been touring with Brett Eldredge and Morgan Evans for the past few months on Brett’s Good Day Tour, and was also named a Spotify "Hot Country Artist to Watch" for 2021.
