No Sad Songs by Niko Moon - Song of the Day

American country singer-songwriter, Niko Moon keeps the positive vibes rolling with his feel-good, laid back single, No Sad Songs. The song follows his upbeat Top 10, platinum single Good Time off his 2020 debut EP of the same name.

Written by Niko, his wife Anna Moon, Joshua Murty, Steven Lee Olsen and Alyssa Vanderlym, No Sad Songs quickly became a fan favourite during his At Home livestream concerts on Facebook. And it's our Song of the Day!

Niko says, “No Sad Songs’ is all about having fun. As we all know, life can be stressful at times and this song right here is all about putting that to the side for a minute and just enjoying life and having fun.”

At a time when the border between country and pop became narrower than ever, the Texas-native found fame with a savvy blend of country lyrics and tunes that incorporated elements of country, pop, R&B, hip-hop, and reggae, all with a distinct Southern accent.

He began his career writing songs for Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, and Morgan Wallen. He is also credited for co-writing five #1 Zac Brown Band hits, including Loving You Easy, Homegrown, Beautiful Drug and Keep Me In Mind – plus Heavy Is The Head, which topped the rock charts with Chris Cornell singing lead.

In 2016, Niko joined the electronic dance music group Sir Rosevelt with Zac Brown and Ben Simonetti, whose self-titled debut album appeared in December 2017. Their track The Bravest was used during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
