The boot-stompin’, Let’s Build A Fire by former bull rider-turned-country music artist, Cody Johnson has been stuck in our heads for a while now, so it’s worthy of being our Song of the Day!

The Texas-native will release the 18-track Human: The Double Album next month, which features the already released songs Til You Can’t, Driveway, Longer Than She Did, Sad Songs and Walzers with the legendary Willie Nelson, God Bless The Boy (Cori’s Song), Stronger, Let’s Build A Fire, Treasure and Son Of A Ramblin’ Man.

He says, “There was too much good out there to let go of, so I just said, ‘We're going to cut all of them.’ There are ones I wrote on, there are ones I didn't write on, and there are ones that I wish I’d written. I addressed things personally with this music and when people listen to Human, they are going to hear a lot more of me being me. I am finally comfortable with myself and able to share that with my fans.”

Cody will continue to release two new songs each month through September, leading into the highly-anticipated double album release on October 8.

Following the breakout success of his albums Cowboy Like Me and Gotta Be Me, backed by hits Wild As You and With You I Am, Cody upped the ante with his follow up album Ain’t Nothin’ To It – his first project on the CoJo Music/Warner Music Nashville imprint. Featuring the country radio hit On My Way To You, Ain’t Nothin’ To It showcases his full range of talents, brandishing the no-nonsense attitude that Cody brings to his music and passionate, rowdy concerts, giving new fans a taste of what CoJo Nation, Cody’s diehard fan base, have known for years.

In addition to new music, Cody made his debut on the big screen. Dear Rodeo: The Cody Johnson Story in US cinemas last month. The film recounts Johnson’s real-life journey from the dusty rodeo arenas of rural Texas to some of the biggest musical stages in America.
