Our Song of the Day is Leave Each Other Alone, a duet by platinum-selling Canadian country star, Jess Moskaluke and our very own award-winning artist, Travis Collins.
Jess says, “Travis has quickly become one of my favourite male voices in country music. We met in Australia in 2019 after he so generously offered up his kick-ass band to play my Aussie shows with me. Seeing him play live, I was completely mesmerized and knew I had to work with him. In my mind, Leave Each Other Alone was always meant to be a duet, and as soon as I heard Travis’ voice, I couldn’t stop thinking about having him on the song. I’m so excited for everyone to hear this song, and for Canada to get to know this amazing talent!”
Travis adds, “I met Jess at C2C Festival 2019 ... doing a songwriter’s show together. We hit it off like old friends and I became an instant fan of her voice and songs. Fast forward a year and she sent Leave Each Other Alone to me, asking if I’d be interested in singing with her on it. I loved this song before the first chorus even hit my ears ... and knew it was something I wanted to be part of.”
Leave Each Other Alone is off Jess’ latest album, The Demos. The product of our ever-changing world, The Demos came to be after international travel came to a halt, and it was evident that she wouldn’t be making it down to Nashville to record the new songs she had been working on.

Having already demoed the vocals, Jess worked virtually with her long-time producer Corey Crowder to create the eleven-track offering, which features her number one hit Country Girls, Halfway Home and current Top 15 single Mapdot, a glimpse behind the scenes with three reworked demos from a previous writing session, and five new songs.
The 2017 JUNO Award winner for ‘Country Album of the Year’, Jess is also the 2018 CCMA Award winner for ‘Album of the Year’, a three-time consecutive CCMA ‘Female Artist of the Year’ Award winner – the first resident of Saskatchewan in the history of the awards to achieve this title – a 2017 SOCAN Award winner and recently took home the 2020 WCM Award for ‘Country Artist of the Year’.
