Up first, something a lot of us can empathise with, our festive Song of the Day is Hangover For Christmas by CMAA ‘Rising Star’ winner, Robyn Ottolini.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – and I don’t mean Christmas, I mean that magical month where we can blast holiday music and no one can judge us for it! Because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love Christmas music all year round?! This December, we are going to be adding our Songs of the Day to our very special Countrytown Christmas Playlist, complete with re-imagined country-style holiday classics as well as what are sure to be new festive favourites!

First up, our festive Song of the Day is – something a LOT of us can empathise with – Hangover For Christmas by recent CMAA ‘Rising Star’ winner, Robyn Ottolini. The track highlights the fun and messiness that accompany Christmastime, from the peppermint schnapps to singing Rudolph … a little off-key, with a decked-out music video to boot!

Robyn says, “Christmas with the Ottolini family is always a vibe. You know what that means? Gatorade, Advil and a tiny bit of coal in our stockings. Grab some eggnog, an ugly Christmas sweater and enjoy the happiest, most wholesome Christmas song there is this holiday season. P.S. drink water … your grandpa will thank you.”

Hangover For Christmas follows the release of Robyn’s major label debut, The But I’m Not Always Sad Either EP. The EP delves into everything from relationships to self-love with witty lyricism and creative production by Erik Fintelman and Mark Schroor. She first reached fans with her viral hit, F-150, which reached #3 on Rolling Stone’s all-genre Trending 25 chart and #4 on Spotify’s all-genre US Viral 40. In just over a year, she has earned more than 60 million global career streams.
