More Petric More Petric

Canadian country trio, Petric have joined forces with 2022 Golden Guitar Finalist for ‘Female Artist of the Year’, Hayley Jensen, for the super catchy new single, Flirtin’. It’s our Song of the Day!

Written by Jason Petric, Emma Lee, Jimmy Show, Tom Petric, and Jordan Day, Flirtin’ was produced by Chris Baseford, and features soulful melodies, flirtatious lyrics and a beat to get you bobbing along, with Tom Petric and Hayley's vocals meshing perfectly.

Petric says, “This is a song we wrote while working on Flashbacks. From the moment pen went to paper, we knew this song was going to be something special, and we heard it differently than any other Petric song… and that’s why it’s not just a Petric song.”

Formed back in 2014, Petric have since racked up over 14 million worldwide online streams, multiple chart-topping hit singles on Canadian country music radio, including three top 20 hits, and have won a handful of awards. They have taken their music from the small stages of hometown bars to the most prestigious festivals and venues across Canada, including the Calgary Stampede, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Boots & Hearts, Country Thunder, and more.

Their album Flashbacks, alone, has more than 3 million online streams and has opened up doors to multiple international markets, earning the band their first top 35 single in Australia with White Lyin’ – which we premiered here. White Lyin’ followed their previous singles Kids and Déjà Vu.

Hayley has spent the best part of two decades honing her craft and collaborating with the best in the business from across the globe. She became a household name after becoming a finalist on Australian Idol, and later The Voice in 2014, where she was described as ‘the whole package’ by coach Kylie Minogue.

After self-releasing her first #1 iTunes Country album ‘Past Tense & Present Peace in 2007, Hayley released her ARIA #3 Australian Country Album, Turning Up The Dial in 2018. The record was the 3rd highest selling Australian Country Album according to ARIA, and the 2nd highest selling digital album on iTunes Country charts. The same year, Hayley was invited to the UK to perform at Buckle & Boots Country Festival and was a finalist in the 2018 CMC Awards.
