US indie country-pop artist, Caroline Jones has released her sassy, upbeat single, Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable). We think it’s catchy AF, and that’s why it’s our Song of the Day!
Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable) is off her forthcoming sophomore studio album and, like the majority of her music, Caroline wrote the lyrics, co-produced and performed almost every instrument.
Caroline says, “As a songwriter, particularly in country, I was delighted to find a colloquialism ‘come in and make yourself comfortable’ that hadn’t been turned on its ear in songwriting form yet. I’m always searching for unique and clever turns of phrase. What started as a joke between myself and my recording team then turned into a tongue-in-cheek, empowering rockabilly foot-stomper with a whole lot of sass!”
Declared one of Rolling Stone’s '10 Country Artists You Need to Know; as “an ambitious, entrepreneurial guitar heroine primed to bring back the pop-country glory of the Nineties,” the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist was born in New York City to her American father and Australian mother, and has family in Sydney. However, during the 2020 pandemic, she based herself in New Zealand to find inspiration and work on new music.
