Zac Brown Band’s Deluxe Version Of ‘The Comeback’ To Feature Blake Shelton

The Comeback by Zac Brown Band was released in October 2021 and now, the award-winning band has announced a forthcoming deluxe version of the project featuring a host of guest vocalists.

Frontman Zac Brown said, “The Comeback is the best album we’ve ever made, and to re-record a few tracks with some musical legends was such an honour.”

One of those collaborations is with Blake Shelton, who is appearing on a new version of Out in the Middle. The duet version of the song will be out June 22, ahead of the deluxe album’s release day.

Brown said, “Blake Shelton is a country music powerhouse and sharing Out in the Middle with him, a song that represents our southern roots and country pride, is absolutely unreal. We’re so grateful to do what we do, and we can’t wait to share the full album with our fans.”

Shelton added, “I’ve always been such a big fan of Zac as an artist and especially as a songwriter. This song in particular really resonated with me. It reminds me of how I was raised and where I come from – out in the middle!”

Throughout their career spanning over a decade, ZBB has had 6 consecutive albums reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and 5 consecutive albums debut at #1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. The Comeback is the band’s seventh studio album. The title and overall theme speak into the pandemic, but it also refers to more general obstacles that country fans face — and personal themes like the difficult divorce Brown endured a few years back.

The Comeback contains 15 songs, all co-written and co-produced by Brown and long-time collaborator, Ben Simonetti. Jonathan Singleton, Wyatt Durrette,  Luke Combs, Luke Dick, Ray Fulcher and The Cadillac Three‘s Neil Mason are among the co-writers listed on the project.
