Get ready Tassie, Rural Rumble is coming back to Quercus Park on Saturday, October 18, and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever. Hosted by Hagley Rural Youth, this beloved annual event is now in its fifth year and has firmly cemented itself as a must-attend celebration of everything that makes rural Tasmania so unique: community, country pride, and a whole lot of good music.
Leading the charge this year is country music favourite Wade Forster, who will headline a stacked lineup featuring the powerhouse vocals of Katie Jayne, high-energy band Hurricane Fall, and local legend Zac Weeks. It’s a night built for boot-scootin’, singing along, and making memories under the stars. Whether you’re a lifelong country fan or just in it for the good vibes, Rural Rumble offers something for everyone.
The fun doesn’t stop at the stage. The event also includes a ute competition showcasing some of Tassie’s proudest and toughest rigs, a timed on-foot barrel race for those up for a bit of friendly competition, and plenty of food and drink options from local vendors. There will of course be line dancing and for those who don’t want the night to end, on-site camping means you can turn the whole thing into a weekend away.
Tickets are now on sale, with adult entry priced at $53.05, under 18s at $21.45, and kids under 15 getting in free. Gates open at 4:00 PM and the party rolls through until midnight.
“Rural Rumble is more than just an event; it's a celebration of our rural heritage and community,” said a spokesperson from Hagley Rural Youth. “We invite everyone to join us for a night of fun, music, and camaraderie.”
Hagley Rural Youth, a volunteer-led branch of The Rural Youth Organisation of Tasmania Inc, continues to deliver this event with heart, community spirit, and a clear love for their region.
