Travis Collins Returns With Highly Anticipated 'The Band Album'

Beloved Australian country artist and multi-award winner Travis Collins has announced the release of his forthcoming tenth full-length, The Band Album.

Charging into 2025 with a bang, The Band Album is set to coincide with Collins’ forthcoming performance at CMC Rocks Queensland in March – as well as his headline tour dates. The Band Album will be released on Friday, 28 March. You can pre-order/pre-save the release here.

In addition to announcing the album, Collins has shared the new single Good Thing Comin’, which marks the follow-up to the singles Different Dreams and Don’t Get Me Started.

Collins said of Good Thing Comin’, “Holding on for a ‘good thing coming’ is something that gets most of us through life. That sense or feel that something great is around the next bend or over the next hill. Sometimes, that hope itself is more important than the actual thing you’re hoping for.”

Of the inspirations behind The Band Album, Collins explained that curiosity got the best of him when he realised he’d never actually created an album with the people he worked with the most: his touring band.

“When I started thinking about recording this new album, I was searching for a fresh and different approach to anything I’d done before,” he said. “It seemed ironic and crazy to me that I’d never actually recorded or ‘created’ music with the people who’ve played the most music with me for most of my career - my touring band. That realisation floored me; curiosity immediately turned to creative excitement. ‘The Band Album’ was born.”

Collins added, “In many ways, it felt like I was recording my first album. There was an entirely new energy, creativity, and enthusiasm that really shines through on this album. I hold the songs, the memories of creating them, and the entire experience very close to my heart. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
