“We can already see Little By Little becoming a staple of our live show,” Tom Wolfe says, “and we cannot wait to blast it off of stages all around the country!”

The Wolfe Brothers have leapt back into the spotlight with their first release for 2024, a rip-roaring country anthem called Little By Little.
It’s a timely track for the Tassie duo, touching on the cost-of-living crisis that most Australians are feeling stung by at the moment. As Nick Wolfe explained in a press release, “There's so many crazy things happening in the world and we're all in the same boat, just out here trying to make ends meet and do the best we can...”
This song, he continued, aims to give hard-done-by Aussies a chance to feel heard and met with solidarity, giving them a chance to let go of their anger and channel the energy into something more productive: rocking the heck out. “Sometimes it all gets a bit too much and we need to blow off a little steam,” he said. “We hope this track can be the soundtrack to some wild nights and letting loose!”
Nick also noted that in his and Tom’s opinion, Little By Little serves as “the perfect way to kick off the next chapter” for The Wolfe Brothers. Tom added for himself: “Musically this track is right in the zone of what we love and what we do best as a band. We're not chasing a trend or a current sound, we're just making the music we want to make.”
Notable, too, is that Little By Little features an appearance from a true Aussie rock legend: longtime John Farnham collaborator, Stevie Williams, who performs what Tom says is “some absolutely blistering harmonica”. Tom called Stevie one of his and Nick’s “musical heroes”, saying they “were absolutely wrapped” to have him onboard.

The Wolfe Brothers are currently trekking around Australia for their regional Still Livin’ The Dream tour, with the next show going down in Ballina tonight (July 26). They’ll also play in Booval tomorrow (July 27), with shows still to come in Guildford, Ravenswood, North Fremantle, Albury, Goulburn, Shoalhaven Heads, Cataract, Morwell, Mount Evelyn, Corio, Warrnambool, Trundle, Paddington, Tumbi Umbi, Sanctuary Point, Albion Park, Forth and Longley.
The duo will also perform at this year’s Savannah In The Round, Vision Splendid, Over Yonder and Queanbeyan Country Muster festivals – head here for more details on all their upcoming tour dates.
As well as their first track for 2024, Little By Little serves as The Wolfe Brothers’ first track to come out since they returned to ABC Music back in May; the band were previously signed to the national public broadcaster’s in-house label for their first four albums, but pivoted to BMG for 2021’s Kids On Cassette and 2023’s Livin’ The Dream.
“We are really excited to be back with ABC,” the duo said upon announcing their homecoming. “We are fired up and excited for the next chapter. Lots of new music coming from us.”
