Jake Hoot, winner of The Voice US season 17 (2019), revealed that he and his wife, Brittney Hoyt, are expecting their third child.

Hoot has one child from his previous marriage to ER nurse Jessica Lynn Steele, eight-year-old Macy, while Hoyt gave birth to her first child with Hoot, Madilyn Bri, in July 2022.

Sharing a gorgeous black and white photo of their growing family alongside a coloured picture of Hoyt cradling her stomach on Facebook, Hoot wrote in the caption, “We’ve been keeping a little secret, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!!!!! Baby Hoot #3 coming soon!!!!!!”

Congratulations to the happy couple and growing family! We’re hoping for a safe and pleasant pregnancy and birth for Hoyt.

In February, Hoot shared his latest single, a romantic ode to his wife in Endless. “Between getting married, having a new baby, and watching my seven-year-old grow, I’ve been writing a lot of love songs lately,” Hoot explained in a statement to Everything Nash.

Endless is one of my favourite love songs I’ve written alongside Kylie Sackley and Kyle Schlienger. After we finished the song, I immediately knew I wanted to release it. My hope is that everyone who listens to this song can connect with it in some way.”

Hoot moved to Nashville at 20 years old and started playing gigs locally. He auditioned for The Voice in 2019 by singing Luke Combs When It Rains It Pours, joining Kelly Clarkson’s team by default as she was the only one to turn her chair.

Impressing audiences with his renditions of songs by Jason IsbellReba McEntireTrace AdkinsThe EaglesRhett AtkinsSarah McLachlanLonestar and more, Hoot was crowned the winner and subsequently dropped his winning single Better Off Without You, which was written about a dark period while going through a divorce from his first wife.

In February 2021, Countrytown named his song with former The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson, I Would’ve Loved You, our Song Of The Day.
