“I make it as a snack when I am back home with my parents and it just feels like a really cute thing to make,” Christo says of her nostalgia-inducing Winnie The Pooh recipe.

Abby Christo is the next big name in Oceanian country music. She has taken her talents to the Music City of Nashville, and it seems the move is paying off.
The singer-songwriter has released the first fruit of her labour from her time in Nashville, with the 2024 debut single Colourblind having been released earlier in the week.
According to Christo, Colourblind describes the experience of acknowledging toxic traits collected from past relationships and having to let them go to fully embrace a healthy new relationship. For Christo, different colours allude to different forms of negative traits that weave their way through, and the idea of being colourblind is a way to love unconditionally.
Along with the big move, Christo got to live out her manifestation of playing at Nashville’s Whiskey Jam festival, playing to a packed crowd over Halloween evening.

With life constantly on the go, Abby has perfected her go-to snack for a busy day: nostalgia-inducing flapjacks that remind her of Winnie the Pooh. To add a little sweetness to your day, check out Abby’s signature recipe below!
I originally got this recipe from a Winnie-The-Pooh cookbook. I have been a giant Pooh-Bear fan since I can remember. I love his character and all his quotes in the Christopher Robin stories. So I kept this special one for Flapjack (an oat bar). I make it as a snack when I am back home with my parents, and it just feels like a really cute thing to make, and then I watch the Christopher Robin movie.
(Makes 8 Pieces)
2 oz of butter
One tablespoon of golden syrup
2 oz of soft brown sugar
4 oz or rolled oats
One pinch of salt
You will need a saucepan, a wooden spoon, and a 7-inch sponge cake tin. Grease the cake tin and turn the oven on to about 350 degrees.
Measure the butter, golden syrup, and sugar into a saucepan. Place over a lower heat and stir slowly on and off until the butter has melted and the mixture is blended nicely. Then, move the saucepan off the heat.
Next, add the oats and the salt and mix it really well! Then, spoon the mixture into the greased cake tin and spread it evenly.
Place the cake tin into the oven once it's heated, and bake it for around 20 minutes.
Once it is baked, remove it from the oven and softly cut it into eight pieces while it's still in the tin. Once it cools, remove it and enjoy!! It's really yummy with coffee or tea.
