Covering “Shake It Off” on YouTube nine years ago, Kane Brown pulled out a surprise guest in Nashville on Monday night, and that guest was none other than Taylor Swift herself.

Nashville got way more than they paid for on Monday night (June 24) when Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance during Kane Brown’s set at the Tight Ends & Friends charity concert, hosted by NFL star, and Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The event, part of Kelce’s Tight End University festivities, was already packed with good vibes, country stars, and football stars but when Swift walked out with a borrowed guitar in hand, the room erupted.
Performing an acoustic version of her 2014 hit Shake It Off alongside Brown, Swift sent fans into full meltdown mode. Brown, who had been hyping up a “really, really, really special guest,” clearly didn’t realize just how special things would get. It was her first time on stage in six months and after the show, he posted a cheeky photo with the caption, “When you think YOU’RE the surprise guest… but you’re not,” complete with a face that screamed humbled in the best way.

Adding to the moment? Kelce, the man of the TEU hour, was cheering her on from the wings. Kelce later left a sweet “TURN ME UP TAY TAY” comment on Insta, confirming Swift’s cameo wasn’t just for the crowd, it was also for her guy.
The event, held at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, wasn’t just about celebrity cameos. It raised funds for the National Museum of African American Music and featured performances by Jordan Davis who also brought out Luke Combs as a surprise special guest, Chase Rice, Ernest and Sophia Scott. An already stacked line up, but once Swift hit the stage, it felt like that’s all anyone could talk about.
We found the original video of a young Kane Brown covering Shake It Off back in 2014 which you can watch below. Talk about a duet that was nine years in the making.
