2021 Tamworth Golden Guitar Awards announce hosts and performers. %
Despite this year's festival being cancelled, Tamworth's 2021 Golden Guitar Awards are forging ahead. Their two hosts this year will be previous winners Catherine Britt and Andrew Swift.
The show will stream live from Tamworth's Entertainment Centre on January 23 on ABC Landline's Facebook page and ABC Country. A 90 minute highlights package will also air on ABC TV at 12:30pm the next day.
Performers on the night include this year's ARIA Country Award winner Fanny Lumsden, The McClymonts, Travis Collins, Amber Lawrence, Aleyce Simmonds, Kirsty Lee-Akers, and Dianna Corcoran , Casey Barnes, Dean Perrett, Luke O’Shea, Melody Moko, Shane Nicholson, and a special performance from Kristy Cox with Tommy Emmanuel, filmed in Nashville.
The night will also feature special performances The Bushwackers and John Williamson, both celebrating fifty years of entertaining Australians.

Dan Biddle, chairman of the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA), said: “Following a year where music has helped keep us together, I look forward to celebrating Australian country music creators who have made an outstanding contribution to our cultural and social fabric by continuing to release their work despite the ongoing challenges faced by our industry.”
The event will be rolled out with a strict COVID-safe plan to ensure the safety of the cast and crew.
