Sweet TalkMelbourne six-piece Sweet Talk have just dropped their brand new single Ride Out On Me, while simultaneously announcing they’ll be heading to the US later this year to join the Red Clay Strays on their massive 16-date arena tour.
The news follows what’s already been a pretty wild 12 months for the band, who turned heads with their debut album Switch On in 2025. The record hung around the ARIA Country Album Top 20 for more than 18 weeks which is no easy feat. Add in multiple festival slots, industry buzz and a sold out Australian tour supporting Red Clay Strays, it’s clear Sweet Talk are on the brink of something big..
Now, they’re taking that momentum global.
Speaking on the new single the band said: “It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a year since our debut album, ‘Switch On’ was released into the world. We’ve always said we’d be doing this no matter what. Even if no one was listening, we’d still be making the music we love. The fact that people have come along for the ride means everything to us.
‘Ride Out On Me’ represents the first taste of a new chapter and it really feels like a natural progression for us. The same deep pocket sits at the core of what we do but we’re expanding our sound, exploring more of the styles of music we love and we like to think we’re growing as songwriters and storytellers. We kept this one close too. It’s fully DIY from top to bottom. Production, mixing and artwork all stayed in-house. That felt important this time around.

On top of that, we’re beyond fired up to be heading over to the States later this year with our good mates Red Clay Strays. We hit it off with the band and their whole crew when we toured with them last year and there was talk of perhaps joining them on their home turf, but there’s a lot of talk in this industry right? But here we are one year later announcing that we are in fact joining them on their massive US run. It’s one of those moments you grow up dreaming about without ever knowing if it’ll actually happen and to be doing it with that crew means the world to us. USA here we come…”
“Ride Out On Me” feels like a natural evolution for the band—still rooted in that gritty, bluesy swagger they’ve become known for, but pushing further into their influences and expanding their sonic palette. It’s a confident step forward, and one that sets the tone for what’s shaping up to be a huge year.
If you’ve caught them live recently - whether at Bluesfest, Tamworth Country Music Festival, or one of their many national tours - you’ll know their biggest strength is connection. And now, they’re about to take that energy to some of the biggest stages in the US.
Touring with Red Clay Strays again feels less like a full circle moment. After building a genuine bond on the road in Australia, this next run cements that relationship and gives Sweet Talk a serious platform to win over international audiences night after night.
Safe to say: this is a band you’re going to be hearing a lot more about.
