Shane Nicholson Stars On ‘Peachy Keen’ Follow Up Album ‘Lullabies’

Paul Field’s new music brand, Peachy Keen, releases its second album today, with country music superstar, Shane Nicholson, writing and singing six brand new songs. 

Lullabies is a collection of 20 tranquil tracks to help young children “relax, rest and restore.” Field says he has already played these beautiful lullabies to soothe his two grandchildren. “Lullabies hold a cherished place in all our hearts, and we hope this new music will join the ranks of the treasured lullabies we all know and love.”

Lullabies is the much anticipated follow up to the critically acclaimed Animal Songs, which went straight to #1 in the iTunes Children’s Chart in May. The album also featured Nicholson.

Alongside The Wiggles, Field and his brother, John Field, were recently presented with the Ted Albert Award for ‘Outstanding Services to Australian Music’. John, who’s written over 300 songs for The Wiggles, including Hot Potato, is Peachy Keen’s main songwriter.

Joining John on this album is singer-songwriter and producer, Shane Nicholson, who has won 15 Golden Guitars and is a three-time ARIA winner for ‘Best Country Album’. In 2022, Nicholson won ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Alt Country Album of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Apple Music Song of the Year’ at The Golden Guitar Awards.

Happily, during his busy year, Nicholson once again joined the Peachy Keen team with six beautiful new songs. One of these songs has special significance for him.

“Little Baby Blue is a song I’d ad-lib to my newborn son, and then later to my daughter, whenever they woke in the night,” Nicholson says. “It’s nice to have finally committed it to history. For many of us, lullabies are our oldest memories of music. As a parent and songwriter, I’m as proud of this work as any I’ve done.“
